Sure, it needed a tune-up every year, new tires, the occasional battery and roadside service, but your car was there for you. Why not do something really special-now that your car’s in its twilight years-and donate it to the American Lung Association of Mississippi.

With just one quick call you can receive a tax deduction, contribute to a respected organization and make an impact in the fight against lung disease in Mississippi.

Donate your vehicle to the American Lung Association of Mississippi’s Vehicle Donation Program and the Internal Revenue Service will let you take a tax deductible, charitable contribution on you itemized federal tax return. Tax deductions, by law, will be based on the selling (auction) price of the vehicle.

Are you eligible to donate?

You must have a title to the vehicle and it must be unencumbered by a lien. Your car must be tow-able – all 4 tires inflated; there shouldn’t be any major parts missing, and it must be in a location that it is accessible to a tow truck. Some older cars, such as those built before 1988, may not be eligible for donation. Please contact us (1-800-586-4872) if you have a question about donating an older car.
How long does it take?

We offer quick, convenient and FREE towing. You must first send us your title before we can pick up your car.
Where does the money go?

Lung Disease Programs- The Vehicle Donation Program supports for children with asthma, support groups, patient and professional education seminars. Your donation also supports research to find cures for lung disease.
Smoking- The American Lung Association of Mississippi has been at the forefront of the growing movement toward a tobacco-free society, helping to remain tobacco-free and helping smokers to quit.
